Ashley Ostroski, MA, NCC, BC-DMT
Remedial Services Supervisor/Dance Movement Therapist
Ashley is an Iowa native but a graduate of Drexel University in Philidelphia, PA with her Master's of Arts in Dance and Movement Therapy in 2005. Previous to this Ashley attended and Graduated from Simpson College in Indianola, IA with a BA in Sociology. Ashley currently offers Dance and Movement Therapy on an indivdual and group basis. Ashley is also the Supervisor for our Remedial Services Program. Ashley has over 9 years experience working in the Counseling and Human Service field with backgrounds in working with the elderly, children, physical disabilities, in schools, with inner city youth, as well as working specifically with individuals on the Autism Spectrum. In addition to this Ashley grew up dancing and teaching dance, which she still does in her spare time.
Julie Bardin, BS
Remedial Services Case Manager (Fanny pack advocate and fanatic)
Julie is a native of Chicago, IL and moved here with her family prior to her advanced studies at Iowa State University. Julie is a recent graduate from the Family and Consumer Science Program at Iowa State. Julie currently works as a Remedial Services Case Manager and assists with co-facilitating several skill and therapy groups within our agency. Julie loves to tap dance and is very focused on wellness and healthy lifestyles. Soon Julie will be attending Graduate School for a Master's degree in Social Work and will also soon be completing her certificate in Wellness and Nutrition to provide guidance for those with issues regarding body image and self-confidence. Julie is also going to be the facilitator for Apollo's Intensive Adult Group program through Remedial Services.
Laci Struble, BS
Remedial Services Case Manager
Laci is a native of Southwestern Iowa. Laci graduated from Upper Iowa University with a BS in Psychology and a minor in Criminal Justice. Laci has experinece working with children who have been abused as well as involved in the juvenile justice system. Laci is planning on starting Graduate school in the Counseling/Social Work field soon. In Laci's time outside of work she spends at home cooking, baking, and doing activities with her family and son.
Jenny Palmer, BS
Remedial Services Case Manager
Jenny is a native of Southwestern Iowa and works as a teacher full-time for Winterset High School and operates as the At-Risk Coordinator within the school district. Outside of this Jenny works as a Remedial Services Case Manager with our organization. Jenny shares a passion for Harley's with her husband and also coaches High School girl's Softball for Winterset.

Leslie Frame, BS
Residential Coach/SCL Case Manager
Leslie is a native of Iowa and graduated with a B.S. in Criminology with a minor in Sociology from Grandview University in 2009. Leslie's experience includes working at Meyer Hall with male and female residents as well as working as a swim instructor for a Health Club in the local Des Moines area. Leslie loves to work with children and young adults and is in the process of starting Graduate school for her Master's in Social Work this coming fall. Leslie is an avid animal lover and loves to workout.

Stephanie is an Iowa native and graduated with a Bachelors in Psychology. Stephanie comes to us with several years experience working with children and adults.
Melanie Plate, BS
Residential Coach/SCL Case Manager
Melanie is a resident of Iowa and received her B.S. in Sociology from Northwestern College. Melanie is highly involved with her church and helps with leading youth and group activities. Melanie has worked with individuals with Chronic Mental Health issues for the last two years and has also worked with teens and young adults involved with Job Corps.

Jessica is a natvie of the Des Moines metro area and attended University of Northern Iowa to obtain her BA in Family Services with a minor in Youth Agency Administration (Non-Profit) in 2005. While attending UNI Jessica worked as a day camp counselor on a military base in Katterback, Germany and a day camp director in Marathon, FL through a student program. Since graduating from UNI, Jessica has held several positions in the Des moines area, working with both children and adults having chronic mental health and behavioral issues. When she is not working, Jessica loves spending time with her family and son, traveling, and reading.

Clinical Director/Private Psychotherapist (Clinical Chief Poo-Bah)
James is a native of El Paso, TX where he was born and raised and a co-developer of Apollo Counseling and Resource Center, LLC. James attended Webster University and graduated in 1997 with his MA in Counseling. Since this time James has pursued his Education further earning over 70 credit hours towards his PhD in Academic Psychology and is continuing its pursuit. James is certified in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprosessing) used with individuals who suffer from Posttraumatic Stress Disorder, DBT treatments as well as CBT and group therapy. James is also one of only a few spanish speaking therpists in the state. James has lived in Iowa for over 12 years and has experience working in both Adult and Children's mental health services, Juveniel Sex offenders, Protective Services/DHS cases, Developmental and Intellectual Disabilities as well as Brain Injuries. James is currently seeking certification in ABA (Applied Behavioral Analysis) and the TEACCH Curriculum for treatment of individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders. James acts as the Clinical Director and keeps a separate private practice for consulting, psychotherapy, and LPHA assessments.

Chad Kammin, MA
Private Practice/Clinical Sexologist
Chad currently works full-time as the counselor for Winterset Community School District and teaches Psychology and Human Development classes at the high school and college level. Chad is a native to Central Iowa and has traveled around the world and worked and experienced many different cultures. Chad has pursued his Master's of Arts in School Counseling as well as PhD course work and studies in Philosophy, History, and is a Clinical Sexologist. Chad received his training as a Clinical Sexologist in San Francisco, CA and specializes in working with individuals who are dealing with issues related to sexual relationships, body and sexual development and health, gender and sexuality issues as well as sexual disorders. Although Chad is not an LMHC in the State of Iowa, he does offer private consulting and advising. Chad also collaborates with Licensed Therapists and is working towards soon obtaining a license in Iowa.

Erin is the creator and co-developer of Apollo Counseling and Resource Center, LLC. Erin is a native of the mid-west having grown up in Eden Prarie, MN and has lived in Central Iowa on and off for the last 15 years. Erin has her B.S. in Psychology and Political Science with a minor in Sociology, a Master's in Public Health: Community Health and Education, is finishing coursework for a Master's of Science in Mental Health Counseling with the Goal of transferring into a PhD program for Clinical Psychology this next fall. Erin also attends Kansas State University and is a part of the Alternative Training Program for Drama Therapy. Erin is one of three people in the state currently registered or pursuing registry as a Registered Drama Therapist through the National Association of Drama Therapy. Erin has experience working with Adults and Children in all services areas as well as within the juvenile justice and welfare systems. Erin has also been a presentor at many local support groups and conferences on the Philosophy and idea behind the program. Erin grew up involved in the theatre and acting since she was 10 years old, and after taking a break for family is back in action working with local groups and developing her own curriculum for using theatre and Creative Arts Therapies in mainstream programs and practices. Erin also owns and operates her own Private Consulting Business offering individual and coorporate training and group seminars on having an effective and supportive work environment. Erin is an active member of the Rotary Club of Des Moines (noon) and serves on the Youth Committee, is a Board Member of NAMI Greater Des Moines, as well as offers classes and programs through local community centers for Theatre Exploration.
