DANCE AND MOVEMENT THERAPY CLASS SCHEDULE

Funding for Intensive Therapy Options

Movement Therapy has a number of benefits and treatment methods. Although insurances in the State of Iowa do not directly recognize the use of Dance and Movement Therapy (DMT) it is considered a category of Art Therapy which many insurances will fund. DMT is used and recognized in a number of other mid-western states and facilities like Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Illinois as well as many other costal states. Each of these states offer classes and integrated therapy methods to utilize the benefits of DMT. There are many different ways that DMT can be offered and used based on the needs of the individual and the funding available. For specific questions on funding options for indivduals with special needs and mental health diagnosis please contact Erin at Apollo Counseling to discuss the details of your situation. If you are interested in using DMT in a school setting, community organization, facility or structured setting like rehab facilities, nursing homes, inpatient care, Mental Health Institutes (MHI), and Psychiatric Medical Institutes for Children (PMIC) please contact Erin to discuss options available.
